Perky ex-journalist seeks challenging marketing communications & copywriting assignments

My passion is written communications. I was so keen, I didn’t even mind writing the obituaries for my local newspaper aged 16. In fact, it spurred me on to complete a degree and a post-grad in journalism before gaining my NCTJ certificate in, you guessed it, journalism.

After a period of freelancing and being broke most of the time, I succumbed to the dark side and started working for PR and marketing companies. More study and several marketing qualifications later I took my first salaried job working for an American IT corporation. I pretty much did anything and everything; newsletters, product literature, internal and external communications, sales presentations, management reports, manuals and, website design and content.

Ten years later I decided to set up font57 – a marketing communications and copywriting agency dedicated to, and passionate about, excellent writing. Since March 2009 I've acquired numerous satisfied clients and a varied portfolio. You name it and I've probably written it…web pages, press releases, training materials, corporate literature, sales letters and even a political manifesto!
